I’m making things a little more challenging for the sophomore chain challenge. This time, you only get one hint—at the chain’s exact midpoint.
As far as subject matter, I’m turning to a bright young starlet and an intriguing bit of movie news that came out recently. Jennifer Lawrence, it seems, will star as the detestable Cathy in a new cinematic version of John Steinbeck’s sprawling novel East of Eden (to be directed by The Hunger Games helmer Gary Ross and released in two parts). The original cinematic version was, of course, directed by Elia Kazan and starred James Dean as Cal Trask, Cathy’s son.
